Lindsay Riley Biography
Lindsay Riley is an American meteorologist currently working as an evening meteorologist at 12News on First @ 4 and at 5, 6, and 10 p.m. She joined the 12News team in January 2018 from WTTV, a CBS affiliate based in Indianapolis, where she was a morning and noon meteorologist.
Her prior positions were at the CBS station WIVB in Buffalo, Dallas at NBC 5, and the NBC affiliate LEX 18 in Lexington, Kentucky. Throughout her career, Lindsay has covered a wide range of weather-related events, including heatwaves, hurricanes, and also floods. Lindsay has also experienced the monsoon and hot temperatures after a year in the Valley of the Sun.
Lindsay, who is originally from New Jersey, was obsessed with watching The Weather Channel and knew she wanted to be a meteorologist since she was 4 years old.
Moreover, she won an Emmy twice, in 2008 and 2016, for her coverage of storms in Buffalo, New York.
Riley got her bachelor’s degree in meteorology from Penn State, where she is quite proud of herself. Lindsay enjoys hiking, traveling, and hanging out with her yellow dog, Brody. In addition, in the upcoming years, she intends to conquer Mount Kilimanjaro.
