Emily Pritchard Biography
Emily Pritchard is an American journalist currently working as an anchor for Today in AZ. She contributes across all 12News shows and platforms, including 12 @12. Emily joined the 12News team in March 2022.
Pritchard came to 12News from Boston’s WHDH, 7News, where she worked as a reporter and anchor. Emily anchored live coverage of the turmoil that followed George Floyd’s death at 7News. She also provided coverage of the results of the 2020 U.S. presidential election as they were being announced. She has also done in-depth reporting over the years on several other topics, including the hoax surrounding the death of Manti Teo’s girlfriend, wildfires in the West, blizzards in Lake Michigan, and Nor’easters in New England.
Emily has traveled from coast to coast for her career. She’s reported and anchored at ABC10, the sister station to 12News in Sacramento, KMOV, the CBS affiliate in St. Louis, WBND, the ABC station in South Bend, Indiana, and KOMU, the NBC affiliate in Columbia, Missouri, for the past fifteen years.
She is a proud University of Missouri alumna, like a lot of the members of Team 12. Reporting on-site during the NBA Finals in Oakland and Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis are two more career highlights. She also worked for four years as a reporter for the University of Notre Dame, covering the women’s basketball team and its numerous Final Four appearances, in addition to the Fighting Irish football team and their run for the 2013 National Championship.
Growing up in Waynesville, Missouri, Emily fell in love with the outdoors and the Ozarks.
