Kyle Simchuk is an American journalist currently working as a digital reporter at 12News covering stories across the State of Arizona online and on air. He joined Team 12News as a reporter in March 2024.
He graduated from Washington State University and has previously worked as a reporter for Spokane’s CBS affiliate KREM2 and ABC station KXLY.
During his tenure in Spokane, Kyle covered the Freeman school massacre, the University of Idaho murders Bryan Kohberger’s extradition, and the disastrous Gray Fire near Medical Lake that destroyed 240 homes. Kyle’s breaking news coverage of the fire garnered him an Emmy award nomination.
Kyle was born and reared in the Pacific Northwest, namely in Clinton, Washington, on Whidbey Island.
