Jack Otter is an American journalist currently working as the host of FOX Business Network’s Barron’s Roundtable, a weekly primetime series that features interviews with investors and major industry leaders about what to expect in the week ahead on Wall Street (Saturdays at 10:oo AM ET). Otter joined the FBN family in 2019.
Otter is also the Barron’s Group editor-at-large. He was formerly the temporary Editor-in-Chief of Barron’s and Associate Publisher of the Barron’s Group Wealth & Asset Management division. Prior to joining Dow Jones, Otter worked as an articles editor at SmartMoney magazine, and subsequently as the founding executive editor of CBS MoneyWatch.com, where he supervised content and oversaw features. Otter’s writing has also been featured in several periodicals, including The Wall Street Journal, Newsday, and The New Yorker.
Otter has been writing on personal finance for almost 20 years and is the author of the book Worth It or Not Worth It? Simple and Profitable Answers to Life’s Tough Financial Questions. Otter graduated from Middlebury College with bachelor’s degrees in political science and French.
