Crystal Bailey is an American journalist currently working as a television news reporter at KTVU 2 News since September 2023. When Bailey joined the vibrant team at KTVU, she started a new chapter in her remarkable career. Hailing from the warm state of Florida, Crystal has always had a flair for stories and a love for journalism.
Her adventure in the world of news reporting began at WCJB in Gainesville, Florida, where she refined her abilities and established the groundwork for a wonderful career. She then entered the dynamic world of Jacksonville, where she worked for First Coast News, the ABC/NBC duopoly, and made important contributions to local journalism.
Additionally, Crystal has covered some of the nation’s most prominent stories, demonstrating her dedication to bringing crucial information to the public. Her dedication to sympathetic and perceptive reporting was demonstrated by her coverage of the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting, which focused in particular on a local victim’s return home following a gunshot wound.

Crystal took a short break from regular TV journalism to start on a unique journey as a Public Information Officer with the Washington, DC Fire and EMS Department and an employee of the First Responders Network. A graduate of the University of Florida, Crystal proudly displays her allegiance to the Gators. However, the appeal of the Bay Area’s moderate weather and inclusive culture drew her to Northern California, where she now lives an active life outside of work. Crystal remains emotionally engaged to her neighborhood, actively participating in church activities and engaging in service projects to give back to the Bay Area.
During her free time, Crystal and her spouse go on adventurous weekend and day vacations to quaint coastal communities like Mendocino and Half Moon Bay. They seek out new eateries and enjoy the variety of cuisines the Bay Area has to offer since they are passionate about food exploration.
