Charles Payne is an American journalist currently the host of Fox Business Network’s (FBN) Making Money with Charles Payne (weekdays 2-3 PM/ET). He joined FOX News Media as a contributor in 2007 and provides financial analysis across FBN and FOX News Channel.

Payne most recently joined FBN’s 2022 Midterm Election panel, which included Maria Bartiromo, Stuart Varney, and Larry Kudlow. Payne has conducted multiple town halls in recent years to educate people about the investment revolution and the emergence of cryptocurrency. He also recently hosted a Black History Month program titled Making Money with Charles Payne’s: Black History and Achieving the Dream, in which he guests to share their personal success stories. As a FNC contributor, Payne appears on a variety of shows, including FOX & Friends and America’s Newsroom, to provide financial insights and breaking news commentary. He has appeared as a guest host on FNC’s Your World with Neil Cavuto.

Charles began his Wall Street career as an analyst with E.F. Hutton in 1985. In 1991, he started Wall Street Strategies, an independent stock market research organization, where he is the CEO and lead analyst. In May 2007, he published his first book, “Be Smart, Act Fast, Get Rich,” and in 2019, he released “Unstoppable Prosperity: Learn the Strategy I’ve Used for Years to Beat the Market.”

He entered the United States Air Force at the age of 17 and later served as a security policeman at Minot Air Force Base in Minot, North Dakota. Payne attended Minot State University and Central Texas College while in the military.

Charles started his career on Wall Street as an analyst at E.F. Hutton in 1985. He is the chief executive officer and principal financial analyst of Wall Street Strategies, a stock market research firm he founded in 1991.

Payne settled with the SEC in 1999 over a complaint alleging that on at least eight instances, Wall Street Strategies advised its clients to buy members’ stock via recorded messages on its telephone stock recommendation service. The complaint also claimed that Payne neglected to disclose that he received money from members to promote their stock. Without admitting or denying the claimed crimes, Payne agreed to a permanent injunction against violating Section 17(b) of the Securities Act of 1933. In addition, Payne consented to pay a civil penalty of $25,000.

Moreover, in 2007, he released his first book: Be Smart, Act Fast, Get Rich: Your Game Plan for Getting It Right in the Stock Market. Payne has also made several appearances on C-SPAN.
