Larry Kudlow Biography
Larry Kudlow is an American journalist currently working as the host of Kudlow on FOX Business Network (weekdays 4 PM/ET) and a FOX News Contributor. He joined the FBN’s team in February 2021.
Kudlow explores the latest stories and business trends, focusing on the financial impact on households and businesses across the country. On his show, he has interviewed prominent newsmakers including former Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, former Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, and former US trade adviser Robert Lighthizer. He recently contributed to substantial coverage of the 2024 Republican National Convention. Prior to this, he served on FBN’s 2022 Midterm Election panel, alongside Maria Bartiromo, Charles Payne, and Stuart Varney.
Kudlow formerly worked as President Trump’s Assistant to the President for Economic Policy and Director of the National Economic Council before joining FOX Business. He was also a senior contributor to CNBC, where he hosted the post-market analysis show The Kudlow Report. He formerly worked at Bear Sterns as its head economist and senior managing director. During the Reagan administration, Kudlow served as the Office of Management and Budget’s associate director for economics and planning from 1981 to 1985.

Larry graduated from the University of Rochester and is married to Judith. He has also authored two books, “JFK and the Reagan Revolution: A Secret History of American Prosperity” and “American Abundance: The New Economic and Moral Prosperity.”

Kudlow earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, in 1969. Although his undergraduate qualifications and credentials in economics have been called into question because he only earned an undergraduate degree with a major in history (aside from his foreign policy coursework at Princeton), Kudlow claims that the history curriculum he completed at Rochester dealt heavily with economic themes, particularly those related to trade policy.
In 1971, Kudlow enrolled in Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs master’s program, but he dropped out before finishing.
