Sean Duffy Biography
Sean Duffy is an American politician, prosecutor, former sports commentator, and reality television personality currently working as a co-host of The Bottom Line on FOX Network Business alongside Dagen McDowell as well as providing political analysis across all FOX News Media platforms
He is a member of the Republican Party, as he served as the U.S. representative for Wisconsin’s 7th congressional district from 2011 to 2019. Before taking on the role of district attorney for Ashland County, Wisconsin, he initially rose to recognition as a cast member of The Real World: Boston, Road Rules: All Stars in 1998, and Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Battle of the Seasons in 2002.
Duffy was a United States Congressman for almost nine years, serving the residents of Wisconsin’s Seventh Congressional District, the state’s largest district, before joining the network. He chaired the Subcommittee on Housing and Insurance and was a member of the Financial Services Committee while he was in government. Sean had previously served as Ashland County, Wisconsin’s district attorney, where he committed resources to the prosecution of child sex crimes. He made Ashland County one of the first counties in the state to look into and prosecute cases of child sex offenses committed online by collaborating with police enforcement.
Duffy made appearances on The Real World: Boston in 1997, the sixth season of the MTV reality series, and Road Rules: All Stars in 1998, where he got to know Rachel Campos, the woman he would eventually marry. Later, in 2002, Duffy made an appearance on Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Battle of the Seasons. Both had a filmed appearance on The Real World Awards Bash in 2008, during Duffy’s tenure as district attorney.
In 2003, Duffy participated in ESPN’s Great Outdoor Games as a competitor and color commentator. He has also worked as an ESPN color analyst for live events. At the 2004 Winter Games, he was designated an Honorary Athlete of the Badger State Games.
