Jeff Flock Biography
Jeff Flock is an American journalist working as a journalist at FOX Business Network. He joined the FBN as a Chicago-based reporter in September 2007.
Flock most recently made contributions to FBN’s coverage of the 2022 Midterm Elections. He has covered some of the most historic hurricanes from firsthand observation, including covering the eye and aftermath of Hurricane Laura, a category 4 storm that devastated Louisiana. Jeff has also covered hurricanes Dorian, a category 5 storm, and hurricanes Florence, Michael, and Harvey, all category 4 storms.
He has covered important industry events across the nation during his time at FBN, such as the Commodity Trading Pit, the Detroit Auto Show, and the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh Airshow. Industry titans including General Motors CEO Mary Barra, Ford Executive Vice President Joe Hinrichs, and Ford CEO Mark Fields have all been interviewed for his coverage.
Jeff worked as the managing editor and anchor of Hurricane Now, LLC, an online publication that focused on hurricane coverage in the US, before joining FBN. Flock worked for CNN for 24 years, having assisted with the network’s 1980 debut and its inaugural newscast. He handled coverage of the Midwest and assisted in reporting on some of the most fascinating stories in this country during his final 19 years at CNN, which ended in 2004. For his work here, he was recognized with multiple accolades, including an Emmy in 1996 for covering the Oklahoma City bombing and a George Foster Peabody Award for the network’s coverage of the Gulf War.
