Bob Kelly Biography
Bob Kelly is an American journalist currently working as a traffic reporter for Good Day Philadelphia, FOX 29. He hosts the regular morning segments Kelly Classroom, Breakfast with Bob, and Town Takeover, all of which take him out into the community to connect with Good Day Philadelphia viewers. Kelly joined the FOX 29 team in October 2014.
He also broadcasts “Kelly Drives,” a weekly half-hour show in which Bob rides around the Philadelphia area, pointing out interesting locations to see. The show premiered in February 2022 and airs Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.
Bob spent 13 years as a traffic anchor at CBS 3 in Philadelphia before joining FOX 29. He was the first Philadelphia traffic anchor to present his reports in front of a green screen. With his widely popular terms like Jammo, Two Jelly Donut Delay, and also the Conshy Curve, Bob is now known by many as “The Dean of Traffic.” He is animated and entertaining to watch.
The Emmy Award-winning Traffic Anchor has thrilled sports fans on the Jumbotron at Eagles, Flyers, and Sixers games, as well as with his famous segment “Tailgate Takeover,” which airs prior to Eagles games. He has also co-hosted the Philadelphia St. Patrick’s Day Parade for over 15 years.
