John Krinjak Biography
John Krinjak is an American journalist currently working as a news reporter at KTVU 2 News based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He joined the station’s team in May 2025. He has strong familial links to the Bay Area, having visited regularly over the last decade, and is now excited to call it home.
John formerly worked as an anchor and reporter at KTVU’s sister station, FOX 7 Austin. He was the station’s “7 on Your Side” investigative reporter, presented the “Texas News Show” on FOX Local, and created the weekly interview program “FOX 7 Focus.”
During his tenure in Austin, John covered the catastrophic 2021 ice storm and power outage, the Uvalde school massacre, and the 2022 Texas governor campaign between Greg Abbott and Beto O’Rourke.
John has previously worked as an anchor and reporter in Providence, Rhode Island, and Bangor, Maine. He grew up in Connecticut and attended New York University, where he earned a journalism degree. While residing in New York City, John worked behind the scenes for NBC’s TODAY and ABC’s Nightline.
In his spare time, John likes spending time with his niece and nephews in California, as well as his dog, Tico. John is a die-hard Bon Jovi fan who has seen the band live over 45 times.
