Bryan Gallo Biography
Bryan Gallo is an American Emmy Award-winning journalist and meteorologist currently working as a meteorologist at KTVU 2 News. He joined the station’s team in January 2026. Previously, he served as a morning news anchor at The E.W. Scripps Company.
Bryan has been working in the entertainment and restaurant industry since he was a youngster. As a young adult, he relocated from the Bay Area to Los Angeles to seek a career as a professional dancer, where he was able to work on MTV and Soul Train as a Dancer. He then worked as the maître d’ and co-owner of a prominent fine dining and jazz restaurant (Red White and Bluezz) in Pasadena, California, for several years. His reputation for courteous hospitality won him the distinction of being named Pasadena’s “Best Local Personality” in the Pasadena Weekly Reader’s Poll in 2008, 2009, and 2011.
Bryan then traveled to Palm Springs and began his career in reporting. He was the face of Desert Living, a lifestyle show in the Coachella Valley, where he served as presenter and executive producer. Gallo was the morning weatherman for NBC Palm Springs, the show host for Partners in Design, and the morning weatherman on KGAY 106.5. He was voted “Best News Personality” in the Coachella Valley Weekly Poll in 2019 and 2020.

Gallo has been a team member on hundreds of successful community functions throughout California, creating a better quality of life for his community and raising money for local nonprofits. Charities close to his heart are the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the American Red Cross.
He graduated from Rancho Cotate High School and discovered his affinity for weather in elementary school science class, which sparked a lifetime interest in storms and atmospheric science. He studied meteorology at Mississippi State University and received training at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, which combines science and narrative.
Bryan’s interests outside of the newsroom include storm chasing, travel, and dancing. He hails from a large family and is the proud dog dad of a three-legged husky named Eileen.
